Norman Smith Memorial Canal City Fishing Tournament

Canal City holds an Annual Fishing Tournament in October with a fish fry afterward for all to enjoy.

Fishing Tournament Rules

Register by mail to Canal City POA, PO Box 714, Tenaha, TX 75974
Participants may include Canal City POA members and up to four guests
Fishing is allowed anywhere on Bolivar Peninsula
Participants must be in line by the announced time with fish on a stringer to weigh in at the Mabry Fishing Area.
Adults pay fee (TBA) while children under 17 fish free if registered in advance.
There are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash prizes for both adults and children.
Croaker and black drum accepted.
No catfish, sand trout, piggy fish or whiting will be accepted.
Entries are encouraged to help clean fish after weigh in, in preparation for fish fry.
